Home Repair Work Tips - Priming and painting on a ladder

I've haven't actually used this one yet but I saw a guy do it and it's very smart. If you have to paint a long high area of raw wood like new fascia along the side of the house under the roof, you can spray primer from a spray can 2 feet ahead of you and then paint the area a little behind you with the brush, so you are priming and painting at the same time and don't have to drag the ladder back over the whole area again! Just make sure the spray primer is dry of course, but it typically dries much faster than brushed primer.
